So I finally managed to get it shipped off... Just as I got a text from a relative that they’re giving me a free Samsung SSD for my help in organizing a wedding (something I will never do ever again....)
It’s the 850 Evo and unlike the SanDisk that I slapped myself with, it comes with 500 GBs worth of storage which is adequate since I still have my 2 1TB WD Porta-drives with me.
As for the SSHD, I do hope to get a new/repaired model soon...

I bought one of those to store some of my larger games that take a long time to load on it, because my boot SSD was getting too full for those “critical” games.
So far it’s worked great.
